Become Part of our Absentee Voter List
Due to recent decisions handed down from the State of Michigan, we must re-establish our permanent absentee voter ballot list. In order to once again be part of this list, we ask that you call the City of Eaton Rapdis Clerk's office. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The phone number is (517) 663-8118.
You may vote absentee ballot if you:
Expect to be absent from the community in which you are registered for the entire time the polls are open on election day.
Are physically unable to attend the polls without the assistance of another.
Cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of your religion.
Have been appointed an election precinct inspector in a precinct other than the precinct where you reside.
Are 60 years of age or older.
Cannot attend the polls because of confinement in jail awaiting arraingnment or trial.
An Absentee Voters application can be requested by:
Downloading, completing and submitting a request form from the State Bureau of Elections;
- Fax request to (517) 663-1116;
- Letter, mailed to the address listed below;
- Post Card, Mailed to the address listed below;
- Picking up an application from the City Clerk's Office
Please include your name and return address in your written request to the City of Eaton Rapids Clerk's office.

or place them in the drop box located in front of City Hall.
No one may pick up your absentee ballot other than you unless it is delivered to you by the U.S. Mail. This includes spouses, members of your family and friends.

Council agenda's are posted to the website by Friday around 12:00pm. Our meeting schedule is a Work Session on the 1st and 3rd Monday's at 5pm and Council Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday's at 7pm. All meetings are held at City Hall on the 2nd floor.
