Director of Utilities

Scott Poyer is the City's Director of Utilities. Scott has worked for the City of Eaton Rapids since 2000. Scott received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive and Heavy Equipment Technology from Ferris State College in 1986. Before joining the City of Eaton Rapids, Scott was with Consumers Energy Company, where he started as a mechanic in their Fleet Services Department. Scott worked as a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor before transferring to the Natural Gas Department. Scott lives in Eaton Rapids with his wife and three children.
Scott is in charge of the City's Electrical System, Water System and Geographical Information System. Scott is also the person that you need to contact in the event of a sewage disposal system failure. If you experience a sewage disposal system event you must file a written claim with the City of Eaton Rapids within 45 days after the date the property damage was discovered. Please use this claim form and return it to City Hall.
