City Manager

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the City of Eaton Rapids’ web site. As the Chief administrative officer for the City it is my responsibility to supervise and coordinate the work of the administrative officers and departments placed under the control and direction of the office of City Manager. Additionally, the City Manager is responsible for preparing and submitting to Council an annual budget proposal and for keeping informed, and reporting to, the Council regarding the work of the administrative officers and departments.

In accordance with the City Charter, the City Manager is the Administrative Agent of the City Council. The City Manager’s primary duties include:

• Supervising and coordinating the work of the administrative officers and departments
• Preparing and submitting to the Council the annual budget proposal
• Supervising and coordinating the policies and practices of the City

Records of the City are made available to the general public in compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Act No. 440 of the Michigan Public Acts of 1976, as amended.

The City Manager is the designated FOIA Coordinator for the City. The FOIA Coordinator is responsible for accepting and processing requests for the City's public records under the Freedom of Information Act, and is responsible for approving a denial under Section 5 (4) and (5) of the Act.
