Pet Registration

The Staff at City Hall is happy to help you register and license your dog. Dog licenses are available at City Hall from December 1st until February 28th. After that date you will need to register and purchase your license at Eaton County Animal Control.
All citizens in Eaton Rapids are required to license their dogs that are four months or older. A current rabies vaccination certificate from a licensed Michigan veterinarian is required in order to license dogs. There is no reciprocity for out of state dog licenses, however, dog licenses from other Michigan counties are recognized. The deadline for dog license purchase is May 31st of the current year. However, the licenses are only available at City Hall from December 1st through February 28th.

Council agenda's are posted to the website by Friday around 12:00pm. Our meeting schedule is a Work Session on the 1st and 3rd Monday's at 5pm and Council Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday's at 7pm. All meetings are held at City Hall on the 2nd floor.
