City Taxes Due

Taxes Due!Reminder!!!!  Your Summer Taxes are due on Tuesday, September 1st!  City Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.!!!!  They MUST be in the City Offices by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday the 1st to be considered on time without a penalty!

Please join us for all of the events planned to celebrate our Country's Birthday, on Saturday, July 4th!!!  Click here to see the schedule of events! Click here to download the Parade Permit!

The City of Eaton Rapids and the July 4th Committee, are coming together to celebrate our Country's birthday....and do they have a day long party planned for you!

The events will begin on Friday, July 3rd.  We will begin the day on the 4th with craft shows on Hamlin Square, the annual Parade which begins at 11:00 a.m.; special floats for the event; numerous food vendors galore; pedal tractor pull events; Lion's Club Duck Race; Hot Dog Eating Contest; Dog Show, click here to register; Waterball Contest!

Plan on spending the day downtown with everything that is going on and then winding up the day with the fantastic fireworks display that will take place at the HOWE FIELD, OR BETTER KNOWN AS THE OLD ATHLETIC FIELD!    We will also be showing a MOVIE after the Fireworks at the Amphitheater! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!!!!

GazeboEngraved Bricks on the Island!

The City of Eaton Rapids would like to remind you about the "Buy A Brick" program!  Originally there were just over 9,500 bricks laid on the Island, from the crosswalk to the Gazebo.  Many have been replaced with engraved bricks.....862 to be exact!

Police News

Police NewsAs public safety professionals our officers obtain their standard first aid and CPR training regularly.  As an enhancement to that training this year, ERPD officers received Tactical Casualty Care.  This training is a growing trend in law enforcement coinciding with the increase in tactical training associated with active shooter incidents.  The training provides officers the skills necessary to treat yourself or another officer in the event of a gunshot wound or other catastrophic injury when involved in an incident and be able to do so while sustaining the fight if necessary.
