City Street Clock

The City of Eaton Rapids is proud and excited to be unveiling at the 175th Anniversary and July 4th Activities the newest addition of a City Street Clock. The Clock will be located at the corner of Hamlin and Main Street, in front of City Hall. We are currently looking for sponsorship, which can be at various levels. Sponsorship can be from various clubs, organizations, churches, families, in memory of loved ones, etc.
The Street Clock will be 17 feet tall, will have four sides, will be back lit and will have an assortment of different chimes and music.
For your Sponsorship, depending on the level of your donation, your name will be permanentley cast on the base of the clock. Spots are limited, so you need to get your order in and reserved as soon as possible. Forms can be picked up at City Hall or downloaded here.

On Saturday, April 28th, Eaton Rapids P.D. particiapted in the Drug Take Back Initiative sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. This is a twice yearly event that is designed to remove expired and unwanted prescription and non-prescription medications from households. Eaton Rapids P.D. was one of two agencies in Eaton County that participated.

Minors who seek medical help after drinking too much alcohol will get some amnesty from prosecution under legislation signed by Gov. Rick Snyder.
The legislation that the Republican governor signed Tuesday provides medical amnesty for minors who seek treatment for alcohol poisoning either for themselves or another person.

Free Tuesday Night Music Concerts! Performance is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at GAR Island Parks. We will also be offering free Thursday Music and Movie nights at the Amphitheater. These events will run June through August......The Island Way of Life!
Come to McArthur River Park on May 19th! There will be a Classic Boat and Car Show from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.! Come to this family friendly event and enjoy the day along the beautiful banks of the Grand River!
The City of Eaton Rapids will once again pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom. The parade will start at 11:00am. The parade route is from Marilin St. to Knight St. A breif ceremony will be held on G.A.R. Island park immediately after the parade. Please come out and pay tribute the fallen men and women of Michigan and their families.
