Memorial Day Parade

Memorial Day ParadeThe City of Eaton Rapids will once again pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom. The parade will start at 11:00am. The parade route is from Marilin St. to Knight St. A breif ceremony will be held on G.A.R. Island park immediately after the parade. Please come out and pay tribute the fallen men and women of Michigan and their families.

Spring Clean-up

Spring Clean-upThe City of Eaton Rapids along with Granger will be having the Annual "Dejunking Day" on Saturday, May 18th from 8 a.m. to noon at 300 Market Street.  Granger WILL NOT accept:  Lead acid batteries; sewage; yard trimmings; whole tires; hazardous waste; liquids; radioactive materials; drums/barrels which are not empty; compressed gas cylinders; appliances with freon; any container with a hazardous waste label; ignitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic materials; medical wastes; asbestos; computer equipment.

The City will also be offering a recycling opportunity for you to turn in your old working refrigerators, freezers or window air conditioners for a rebate under our Energy Optimization Program.  You will need to bring a copy of your Utility Bill along with your old working appliance.

The latest installment of the Drug Take Back Initiative sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration will take place on Saturday, April 27th, from 10:00am until 2:00pm. You may bring your unwanted prescription or non prescription medications to the Eaton Rapids Public Safety Building for proper disposal. I’m sorry but we cannot accept liquids, sprays, creams or aerosols.   The program is anonymous.
